St. Pats Day On A Budgit

Hosting A Fun, Budget Friendly St. Patrick’s Day Party At Home!

St. Patrick’s Day is such a fun day for many and with its simple color scheme, it is easier than ever to throw your very own little get together or party for the occasion!  Below are some super easy and affordable ideas for making this St. Patti’s day extra special!

Now its easy being green!  Tell your guests to wear green.  This is such a fun and easy way to add different shades of green to your party.

Go Green. A cute theme for a green themed party is to actually go green.  Incorporate a few environmentally friendly products to your party.  It’s a great pun and helps the environment!

PlatesandNapkins.com.  I stumbled upon this awesome website that has some of the most fun party supplies at very affordable prices!  Currently, Plates and Napkins are offering St. Patrick Day theme supplies on sale!  Check out the site by clicking here!

Check out your local dollar store.  I always say, “You never know what you’re going to find at a dollar store”.  From balloons and green & white streamers to shamrock cut outs, the dollar store is a great place to find simple decor for any party!

Try an ombre theme. An ombre themed St. Patrick’s day party is definitely a simple, fun idea.  This is a great way to incorporate different greens to your party space!

Go on a four-leaf clover hunt!  If the weather is nice enough, why not?  This idea costs no money at all and who knows, maybe you or one of your guests will actually find a four-leaf clover!

Serve green foods.  Salads with green olives, cucumbers, and celery are all fun green food items that taste delish and aren’t horrible for you.  Other fun green foods include avocados, apples, m&m’s, pesto, broccoli and kiwi.

Consider serving the St. Patrick’s Day classics.  Corn beef and cabbage is a staple to any St. Patrick’s Day dinner, however it is a very time-consuming meal.  If you do have the time, consider whipping up some St. Patti’s Day staples, but do not feel obligated to do so!  After all, this post is all about keeping the party simple. sun and affordable!

When in doubt, turn to Pinterest.  As always, I advise looking to Pinterest for some fun and simple St. Patrick’s Day DIYs, recipes and party ideas.  Click here to be linked to Pinterest’s St. Patty Recipe and DIY ideas!

Thank you! I thought it would be something unique and pun-ny, LOL. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

  2. Awesome ideas! I always forget about my local dollar store. Such a valuable resource when you are on a budget!

Totally agreed! The dollar store in my area use to sell a bunch of junk, but out of no where they stepped up their stuff and now i’m obsessed, lol! Thanks for stopping by :)

  3. I think the eat green idea is great! My freezer is stocked with pesto… Great ideas.

  4. How wonderful! I’ll be posting a recipe for Irish coffee cupcakes as St. Paddy’s nears…. stay tuned!

  5. Great ideas! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Love this! Great ideas!

  7. Great ideas! Love the idea of an ombre theme. It’s hard to believe that St. Patrick’s Day and Easter are both this month!

  8. Cute! An ombre theme is a great idea for a colour palate.
I’ve always wanted to make one of those triangle garlands, too.

  9. You’ve put so much thought into this. I used to love doing these things when my children were small. I hope you have a whale of a time :)

  10. Great ideas! I especially like your notion that the ‘traditional’ meals’ are not mandatory. We are not doing the corned beef this year; rather I am suggesting stuffed cabbage, and I noticed a mashed potato and cabbage meal that looks cheap AND delicious!

  11. I’ve been meaning to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day for a while now, I think this year I’ll give a try. Thanks for visiting my blog!

  12. Fun!

  13. Well; the “Irish coffee” cupcakes are published. It was not an entirely successful experiment, but there is hope:
