New Year, New You!

Start the new year off right with these  easy tips for making simple changes to your lifestyle!

Exercise.  Don’t just say it, do it!  Exercising not only helps with weight control, but it also boosts energy and moods as well as helps a person get better sleep!

Eat healthier.  Whether dining out or staying in,  try to substitute a not so healthy dish or side with a healthier choice such a soup or salad.

Always stay positive.  It’s easy to let your thoughts and emotions go on auto-pilot and get away from us.  No matter what the situation, stay positive.  Whatever you are going through is only your current situation.

Drink more water!  The benefits of drinking water are pretty fabulous.  Drinking the recommended serving of water a day can help energize your muscles, fights the wrinkles and lines in your face, keeps your skin glowing, helps your kidneys, helps keep your heart healthy, as well as tons of other benefits!

Take control of your finances.  There are tons of ways to take control your finances.  Some people use coupon, while others watch and wait sales.  What ever the case, try to go out of your way to save more money.  You can even look into having a percentage of your paycheck deducted automatically each pay cycle and placed into a savings account, hassle free.

Get organized. Make 2014 the year you get (and stay) organized.  Once you are organized, it is much easier to stay that way.  Don’t know where to start?  Check out my eBook for a step by step guide to getting your home and you life organized!

Try a new hair style.  Out with the old, in with the new do!  A hairstyle change can help you feel re-energized, with just a touch of spontaneity.

Set goals for yourself.  Create a vision board or make a list of goals you would like to accomplish, not only this year, but in the future.  (See: Take a chance on yourself)

Take a chance on yourself.  Is there anything you have been wanting to do, but you have been too afraid to try?  Maybe its blogging, starting your own website, designing or creating something, or maybe even starting your own start-up business.  Take a chance on yourself and research where to start and get the ball rolling!

Inspire others.  Make it your personal goal to make at least one person smile who comes in contact with you.  You never know by just that one smile, if you are inspiring someone to pay that smile forward themselves.

Find yourself some “Me” time you deserve.  Whether its reading a good book, meditating, or  taking a bubble bath, allow yourself at least a half hour a day to re-energize yourself and collect your thoughts.
