Simple Relaxation, Pick-Me-Up, and Mood Booster Tips!
Find some “you” time. Believe it or not, even you are allowed to have time to yourself. Make it a point to find a few minutes a day to cater to yourself and do whatever YOU want to do, even if it’s just sitting quietly by yourself.
Make a list of things you are grateful for. Putting together a list of all that you are grateful for is a great exercise to help you surround yourself with positive energy. This list is also a great reminder of how lucky you are to have all that good stuff in your life.
Treat yourself! You work hard and all work with no play is just no fun. Treat yourself to something that will make you happy.
Take a nap! When some hear the word “nap”, laziness is one of the first things that come to mind. In this day and age, that is just not the case. In fact, it’s becoming more common and even encouraged by some of the most well-known business men and woman. Naps or “siestas” help you re-energize and regroup to better help you take on the second part of your day. So go ahead! You deserve it!
Have a healthy snack. Eating healthy can help boost your energy and encourages you to make better decisions.
Take a nature walk on a beautiful day. Some fresh air could do anyone good, especially when its a warm, sunny day.
Take a bubble bath. Bubble baths are one of the best ways to help a person relax.
Read a good book. Curl up with a book you have always wanted to read. Reading is such a fun way to help escape reality, even if it’s just for a few.
Follow your bliss. Is there something you have always wanted to do just for fun, as a hobby, or could actually become a side job or even full-time career? What are you waiting for? Go for it! MAKE the time during each day to work at your bliss, little by little. You never know what could come from it.
Listen to music. Don’t forget to dance like no one is watching and sing like no one is listening!
Clean and organize your home. Even though cleaning and organizing isn’t exactly re-energizing, it is mood boosting. A clean, freshly organized space can help inspire and re-energize the mind.
Spend time with your family. Whether its playing a game, watching a movie, or just having a meal together, take the time spent together to be each other’s positive mood boosters by talking about how the day went, goals, and all other family stuff!
Call a friend or family member. Just a simple hello can shift any mood.
Try some exercises, yoga, or meditation. Exercising and yoga can help pump more oxygen to the brain to give you an energy boost. Meditation helps clear the clutter from your mind.
Smile. Even if you smile for 60 seconds, this is can help with an instant mood shift. It’s impossible to feel positive and negative emotions at one time, so choose the positive and smile!
Remember: Always make feeling good a priority. No matter what situation you find yourself in, try to find the good in it. Stay positive.
